Staff can be very courteous, or fully dim-witted. Pool and beach services (at a charge) are attentive, as well as bell boys and concierge. Waiters seem bored, and are oblivious of their job. The facility is OK, but could very well use some improvement, particularly in the outside appearance of the hotel, and certain common areas. The rooms (had one with a balcony and ocean view) was ample, even for Miami standards, but the décor was incongruent: different styles of furniture, light switches that lit no lamps, uncomfortable chairs, excellent beds, linens and pillows. Housekeeping is impeccable: towels replaced promptly, great turn-down service (not only opening your bed but also replacing missing amenities). Air conditioning was a little loud, an old-style floor-level wall-mounted one. If you get a good price it could be worth the money.
