I booked the Beachcomber Mar. 28-Apr. 1 - the check-in process was great, but I saw trash all over outside and wondered what the room was like. Everything in the room was sticky - doors, nightstands, etc. The pools was freezing - broken heater. Since the temp. outside was as low as 52, the kids could not use. There were cigarettes floating in the pool and a lot of broken glass all around the pool. The maintenance man told me that this was the worst year for spring breakers - I stayed one night and checked out early. They were good about refunding my money. I went to the nice condo next door and paid only $20 more a night. I will not return - too dirty for me.

I booked the Beachcomber Mar. 28-Apr. 1 - the check-in process was great, but I saw trash all over outside and wondered what the room was like. We found the Beachcomber simply furnished, but extremely clean and convenient to Pier Park and the local night scene. The Beachcomber lies at the opposite end of the beach from the loud, college kids' scene (LaVela, etc.). This family-oriented area of the beach was perfect for a get-away for my friends and I. Literally within walking distance (if you have too much fun to drive) of Pier Park. We did find "Granny's vinyl couch" humorous -- I could've sworn it was one she had in the 70s-- but since we weren't in the room that much, it didn't matter anyway -- it did provide for a nice laugh though.
