No cupboards or drawers in room to store clothes necessitating leaving clothes in suitcases. Window blinds needed cleaning,as did coffee mugs. Fitments in bathroom were loose. Also received a false emergency evacuation telephone call which front desk told us to ignore. Assumed from front desk comments that they knew who it was and that it had happened before. Hotel not recommended.

We live near by and were looking for a quick escape. We had seen the boat many times but never stayed on board. We booked the romance package and were very pleased. The package was at a discount verses buying everything seperately. The food was GREAT!Scallops and Pork Chop were the best. It would be hard to find anything better in Sacramento. There was a trio playing in the bar, music was fun and not too loud. The boat is nicely restored but the rooms can be a little small but was very comfortable. If i was staying more than 2 nights i would make sure to ask for a larger room. Staff was friendly and helpful. (In contrast to the 2008 review, I guess the management changed again). Over all, a very good experience, We will come back again and recommend it to our friends.

Our 3rd visit. This hotel is a piece of living history. The historic boat has been rennovated to retain its charm and include modern ammenities. Great restaurant and lounge. Staff is sharp and personable. Highly recommended.

I had a river view room on the 5th deck and it was worth the x-tra cost. I woke to the sound of honkers (geese) and there was only one other guest on the 5th deck (unfortunately they were smoking even though there were no smoking signs). Parking was a surprise in that you had to pay for valet parking at 18.00 per night. I was told that the parking garages charged more though I didn't have time to shop around for parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My overall stay was very pleasant and relaxing but most of it was contributed to the hotel having very few guest onboard. The meals were very good and included a choice for vegetarians and you couldn't beat the views!
