I hardly know where to begin with how great everything was at the resort. From the front desk to the housekeeping, to the beautiful pool to the dive shop, everyone & everthing far surpassed our expectations. The dive shop/boat rental staff were so helpful & courteous & gave us such great information on what to do/water conditions/ & met us on the dock upon returning the boat, helping unload, making our trip so easy. With all the gear necessary to scuba, that was a hugh help. Our pool waitress was very accommadating & friendly. Can't wait to come & visit your lovely resort again in the future.

This hotel is older, however, don't let that discourage you. We stayed in a villa which had been remodeled. The kitchen needs updating next. Overall we had a great experience. We brought our own sail boat and could moore it in the canal next to the hotel. My daughter loved the pool. It was heated and no deeper than 4 ft. We swam with manattees which was the highlight of the whole trip for me. We went over spring break and it was very quiet. We live in a tourist related area and the slow non-tourist focus was a welcomed feature.

We only stayed 1 night, but we had a great time at the hotel. It's a lovely older hotel that seems to have been remodeled lately. Fitness center is excellent. Pool area was very pretty and enjoyable with the exception of some foul mouthed teenagers (they seemed to be locals). Staff was helpful with said teenagers, and they also helped locate croquet mallets for the lawn. We were allowed to have a noon check-out to accommodate our swim with the manatees (which was amazing!!!).

My friends and I stayed at the Plantation Inn for a quick getaway and had a blast! The hotel was beautiful, it definitely had that "southern charm" feel to it and actually looked like an old plantation it even had rocking chairs along the front porch. The staff was very friendly and always greeted us as we passed in the halls etc. We spent the first day by the pool which was surprisingly large with lots of lounge chairs and there was even a bar out there so we never had to leave the pool area. The second day the front desk help us arrange a fishing trip with the dive shop that's also right there at the hotel. So we charted a boat which took us all the way out to the gulf. The next daywe all ate at their Sunday bunch which was great, I was actually surprised at how much variety they had with even cook to order items.
all and all our stay was terrific and we never had to leave the resort area. We will definitely be back next year, hopefully for the manatees in spring, I've told it's an amazing experience. -

The staff was not helpful. I asked for the reservation to be a garden view and was informed that online travel website messes that up all the time...and was given a lovely view of the parking lot. Room was stuffy. Access to the 2nd floor was hard to find and not conducive to bringing any luggage upstairs (and heaven help us if the staff would have only thought to help out! - wouldn't even help find a luggage cart)
